Marcus brings over 10 years of energy, water, and transport infrastructure experience to Concept. He combines regulatory economics expertise with corporate finance in both private and public sectors.
Marcus started his career in the Regulation team at Mercury NZ, before moving to Hong Kong to work in energy consulting in the Asia-Pacific region. During his career, Marcus worked on a range of strategy, commercial, financial and regulatory engagements in the energy, transport and water sectors in the Asia-Pacific region. He was involved in the privatisation of Philippine PPAs and state-owned generation assets, and worked with the Energy Market Authority of Singapore on the design and development of the Singaporean electricity futures market. Before joining Concept, Marcus was with the Infrastructure Advisory team at PwC, and worked with delivery agencies, private sector entities, central and local government on strategy, commercial and financial advisory projects. Marcus also worked in the Investment team at the Ministry of Transport (MoT) where he was responsible for providing Ministerial advice on development and delivery of Crown and NLTF-funded transport infrastructure projects and programmes across NZ. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Commerce (1st Class Hon) degree from the University of Auckland, specialising in Economics and Finance. |
